    #1 – Sustainable, natural gardening

In 2025, many hobby gardeners will create wildflower strips or wild corners with native plants, providing an undisturbed habitat for insects and small animals such as bees, birds, squirrels, mice, and hedgehogs, thus actively contributing to the preservation of biodiversity. These include – provided the garden soil drains well – for example, lavender and coneflower, sedum or stonecrop, as well as ornamental grasses such as pampas grass.
